| ||What things have gone wrong with the car?||The rear headrests are so tall that they create a bit of a blind spot. The blind spot is quite pronounced on the passenger side because the "C" pillar of the roof and the right headrest almost merge. I have to use a lot of care when I switch lanes from the fast lane to the slow lane. The only thing I don't like at all about the Camry is that the new ones are priced about $2,500 to $3,000 too high.|
| ||General comments?||Bought this car used in Dec 1998. It had 19,000 miles on it. Car is equipped with the V6 engine. Have had only three problems with it in 4+ years (two problems were covered under warranty). The power steering pump leaked and was replaced under warranty. The front strut (shock) tower bushings clanked when going over speed bumps. This is a common problem with '97 and '98 models. If you have this problem with yours, take it to the dealer and request that they fix it at no charge since it was a design flaw. The only other problem was a defective turn signal socket ($40 to fix).|
