| ||What things have gone wrong with the car?||Brakes and Handling for the V6 aren't quite as good as for the 4cylinder model of the same car, but still very good for any 4 door sedan.|
| ||General comments?||I used to rent cars back in the early 90's. I'd driven so many by the time the 92-96 Camry arrived (too many to list) that I'd become jaded. A car was a car to me, and not necessarily a good one if it was built in the US (sad but true back then). The Camry was a revelation - I didn't know affordable cars could be so good at so many things. My first experience was with the 4 cylinder LE model (no ABS). I would use them for my personal use - around town, on long distance trips, in all kinds of weather - and was constantly amazed at what it could do. Great power for a 4 cyl, excellent gas mileage (even when being thrashed, or at high speeds, it got between 28-34 MPG), very comfortable interior, and it handled really well for a stock sedan. All that, plus it withstood the mechanical equivelent of Hell that comes with being a rental car vehicle much better than anything else in the inventory.Fast forward to 2000 (long after I left that job) and I decided to buy a 93 XLE V6 based on those earlier experiences and the fact that I felt that Camrys after 1994 have gotten progressively uglier and|
