KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 (Bernama) -- UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd expects to sell 500 units of its newly-launched Toyota Camry monthly, said its managing director, David Chen.
Chen said the company was confident of attracting a strong demand.
The Camry was first introduced in Malaysia in 1994, the second generation in 1998 and the third generation in 2002, he told reporters at a preview of the new Camry here Friday.
"Since 1994, we have sold over 40,000 units of the Camry in Malaysia. Being our flagship model, the Camry has received positive response from the public," Chen said.

The Camry would be available in three versions such as 2.0E, 2.0G and 2.4V with a choice of five colours.
Chen said all versions would feature Toyota's VVT-i (variable valve timing with intelligence) four-cylinder petrol engines and electronically-controlled automatic transmissions.
On the road price with insurance for the 2.0E and 2.0G variants are RM139,066.41 and RM149,053.40 respectively, while the 2.4V is priced at RM168,303.99.
